How Tribecast TRIPLED the Watch Time of one of YouTube's most popular Lo-Fi music brands

Fruits Music partnered with Tribecast to power multiple live streams that helped them reach new audiences, increase engagement, and highlight their latest releases.

Fruits Music is the world's most prominent independent streaming record label group, renown for their output of Lofi and Electronic Dance music, and their reputation as the #1 independent curation profile on Spotify and other DSPS.
As experts in 24/7 streaming strategy, Tribecast was enlisted by Fruits Music to establish two 24/7 streams and develop a bespoke stream strategy to grow Fruit Music’s brands, Lofi Fruits and Dance Fruits.
To achieve this, Tribecast focused on engaging Fruits Music’s existing communities (known as the Melon Army) through considered visual and musical content, and on capturing new fans by capitalising on powerful mood-based listening trends. Tribecast’s unique Live Chat functionality has proven to be an indispensable tool to engage Fruits Music’s listeners.
Thanks to both team’s collaborative efforts, Fruits Music’s streams are an ongoing success that continue to grow the brand’s exposure and engagement on YouTube.
The Results
The Lofi Fruits 24/7 live stream has been a major success for Fruits Music. It has become the highest revenue-generating video for Fruits Music since it’s implementation.
Moreover, the 24/7 stream has helped Fruits Music to almost triple their overall channel Watch Time - one of the most important metrics for the YouTube recommendation engine. The stream is currently peaking at almost 800 concurrent viewers and growing steadily, with fans spending more time on the stream than any other video on Lofi Fruit’s channel.
As a result of these increases in Watch Time and concurrent viewership, the Lofi Fruits 24/7 stream is now being recommended more regularly by YouTube, with over 20 million impressions in just 90 days.
In addition to the Lofi Fruits live stream, Tribecast worked with Fruits Music to create a 24/7 stream for their Dance music imprint Dance Fruits.
These statistics are a fantastic example of the compounding effect of 24/7 streaming - the longer the stream is online, the greater the returns in recommendations and revenue.
In February 2023, the label’s premiere album ‘This is MELON Vol. 1’ was announced on their 24/7 stream, generating excitement amongst the Melon Army and capturing new fans. The Dance Fruits stream continues to be used to support Fruits Music's marketing efforts, demonstrating that Tribecast’s 24/7 streams are highly malleable and an effective tool for activations.
